Children’s Letters to God

Gene Kelly interviews kids ages 5-9 in NBC’s Children’s Letters to God (February 16, 1969). All material was written by children with the exception of Kelly’s lines.

Gathered from Sunday School classes and office dead-letter bins, here aresome of the questions posed: Why are cows rough? After fish eat, shouldn’t they come out of the water so they don’t get cramps? Dear God, are boys better than girls?

While I’ve not seen the program, I’ll agree with one Connecticut reporter: “Kelly has always shown a good rapport with kids in front of a camera.”
